PETERSBURGH -- Died, June 14th., Mrs. Matilda Bate [sic.], aged about 78 years.  She was buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery on the 16th., the funeral being preached by Rev. Wm. Amsbaugh.  Her death, which was caused by paralysis, was very sudden.  Mrs. Bare [sic.] was well known, having resided in this vicinity for more than 50 years.  She was a remarkably industrious and kind hearted lady and was high respected.  She leaves one child only, Mr. Israel Beal, who has the sympathy of the entire community.
